Velia Sierra Design presents "The Hamptons: High Seas Allure with an American Flair" collection during New York Fashion Week 2022
Within the framework of New York Fashion Week, Velia Sierra Design was invited to debut the collection "The Hamptons: High Seas Allure with an American Flair," via Flying Solo, the largest platform of independent designers in the US.
Every year, Flying Solo hosts runway shows and events bringing together fashion, jewelry and footwear designers from every continent, in fashion meccas like New York, Paris and Miami. In this September edition, the shows took place at 433 Broadway's rooftop, located in the heart of SoHo, one of the most renowned neighborhoods in New York City in the fields of fashion and art.
On september 10th of the current year, Velia Sierra Design unveiled this new collection, inspired in the sophisticated elegance of the most exclusive tourist destinations in the northeastern United States, such as The Hamptons, Cape Cod & Newport. Some of its outstanding elements are shirt cuts in women's and men's pieces, the inclusion of tighter and more classic silhouettes, and the introduction of our new "pop-up" color, which is Sea Blue and only available in prints for the first time in select styles.
The show consisted of eight looks, most of which were in shades of white and blue, paying homage to the clean, summery style that American tourists wear when visiting New England beaches. Each look was complemented with accessories and bags made by Velia Sierra Design, and a selection of necklaces made by hand by Paula Sierra, our Image Director, who little by little becomes more involved in the Design and Production area together with her mother Velia.
TV channels such as One on One TV, Weekly Style Magazine, as well as the fashion news portal Fashion Week Online and magazines like Harper's Bazaar Spain y Elle USA, covered our show. Important figures from the entertainment industry, such as the Uruguayan-Mexican actor Federico Díaz and the Ukrainian-American actress Tania Rubis, also attended our New York Fashion Week show produced by Flying Solo.
Due to the construction of our new store in Tulum, Quintana Roo, which is about to open at the end of this year, our Creative Director Velia Sierra was unable to personally attend New York Fashion Week. However, our Directors of Brand Image and Marketing, Paula and Franja Sierra, attended for the realization and presentation of "The Hamptons" collection.
