Maye Villa de Lemus Showcases Velia Sierra Design Throughout the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Events in Guadalajara

As Guadalajara welcomed the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Velia Sierra Design had the privilege of collaborating with Maye Villa de Lemus, President of DIF Jalisco and wife of Jalisco Governor Pablo Lemus, to create an exclusive capsule wardrobe designed for her appearances throughout the tournament's most significant events. The collaboration was conceived to showcase Mexican design on an international stage while celebrating timeless elegance and artisanal craftsmanship.

Each garment was thoughtfully designed to enhance feminine sophistication while offering exceptional comfort—an essential quality that reflects Maye Villa de Lemus' personal style and her commitment to balancing an active public agenda with effortless elegance.

Throughout June, the collection accompanied her during several landmark events. On June 11, for the South Korea vs. Czech Republic match, she wore a coordinated denim linen ensemble featuring a double-breasted belted blazer and high-waisted wide-leg trousers. For the Maná concert on June 17, she selected a silver linen set with a high-neck top and relaxed trousers tied at the waist. During the Mexico vs. South Korea match on June 18, she appeared in an elegant black linen shirt paired with flared cargo trousers. On June 23, for the Colombia vs. Republic of the Congo match, she wore a latte-colored halter blouse with a bow at the neckline and wide-leg trousers. During the official reception and Plácido Domingo concert on June 25, she presented two distinctive looks: a linen suit embellished with hand-embroidered sequined details, followed by a silver linen shirt with dramatic ruffled sleeves paired with black wide-leg trousers. She concluded the tournament appearances on June 26 at the Spain vs. Uruguay match wearing an all-white linen ensemble accented with a handcrafted floral belt.

Every design was developed at our atelier and headquarters in Guadalajara under the creative direction of Velia Sierra and Paula Sierra, reflecting our commitment to artisanal craftsmanship, refined tailoring, and the global projection of Mexican fashion. Selected styles from this exclusive collection will soon be available in our boutiques and online store.
