El mundo de Velia Sierra

Trends come and go, but when we talk about knowing the world, the ways to go are endless. In this article, we introduce you to ten places that have inspired us to create our organic linen clothing collection. True to our free-spirit philosophy, we know that entering new horizons in the most comfortable way possible is a style that is here to stay.

Calabria, southern Italy's charm

An impressive blue sea is shown on the horizon of the southern city of Calabria; Fortunately, it is a route little known by mass tourism but with all the delights that Italy offers to its visitors. Architecture, nature and tradition meet in this beautiful place to get to know it little by little, with the tranquility of a traveler who enjoys small details.

The Tamara Blouse was born from the evening walks in the warm Italian sun. Asymmetrical cut, with hand fraying and handcrafted linen, it is perfect to keep you cool on hot days.

Macchu Pichu, a way through history

Surrounded by an almost mystical fog, lush vegetation and rugged mountains ... the extensive citadel of Machu Picchu, the most famous archaeological site on the American continent and one of the seven wonders of the world, rises in the middle of the Andes renewing the spirit of the most demanding globetrotters.

The Montserrat Cape reminds us of our visit to this incredible place: waking up in the town of Machu Picchu, having a delicious breakfast in the Aguas Calientes market and going up to the historic sanctuary. The magic of these ruins and the connection with the nature of this paradise is something that should definitely be experienced..

San Miguel de Allende, provinicial culture and rustic beauty in every corner

San Miguel de Allende is a beautiful Mexican city recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Its traditional and cosmopolitan streets make it one of the preferred safeguards for lovers of art and Bohemian life.

The Carmen Skirt transmits the feminine nature of this place: neo-Gothic architecture, the parish of San Miguel Arcángel, the craft market and small alleys in shades of red, ocher, orange and yellow that light up the senses.

Hawaii, unforgettable experiences in a natural paradise

From the hustle and bustle of the city of Oahu to the romance of Maui and unforgettable outdoor adventures, Hawaii is a unique melting pot of experiences to see, do and feel.

Capturing that vertigo was the main motivation of theatelier when designing the Santa Fe Coat, in which wide fraying is interspersed with the softest textures of our linens.

Bali, an island of gods

A mystical air of living beliefs beats the rhythm of daily life in Bali, this magical destination located in the Indonesian archipelago. Throughout the year it welcomes all kinds of travelers: backpackers, explorers, adventurers or those who only seek a journey of self-knowledge in a unique environment.

The Paula Short seeks to recreate the same emotions that Bali awakens, joy for the simple and love for freedom. Feel surrounded by vast rice plantations, magical temples, and white sandy beaches with turquoise blue waters.

Roma, the eternal city

What else can be said about Rome that has not been said before? The Italian capital jealously guards three thousand years of art, architecture and culture of world importance.

However, Rome still has some secrets that have made us promise to return sooner or later: corridors hidden from the crowd, whimsical neighborhoods with romantic alleys or colorful postcard-worthy villas…The Mara Pants, fluid and fresh, found its essence in Roman charm; flattering freedom of movement for all types of silhouettes.

Guanacaste,nature in fullness

Guanacaste is a privileged land: always sunny climate, a huge variety of ecosystems and owner of a coastline where beautiful beaches bathed by the warm waters of the Pacific are located.

Contemplating the exceptional sunsets of the Costa Rican coast led us to create the Merida Kaftan. Its pleats in the center and artisanal fraying refer to a new interpretation of minimalism inspired by the flora and fauna of the place.

Cairo, the door to the Arab world

Passing through it means getting lost in a modern metropolis framed by fascinating Islamic, Christian, Pharaonic and Persian architecture. It is a perfect city if you want to delve into the mysteries of a different culture.

As exceptional as the character of this beautiful city, the Zaira Poncho represents freedom of movement. Bazaars, terraces, alleys, archaeological ruins and landscapes, shaped this poncho-style blouse with an asymmetrical cut and frayed fringes.

Bilbao, a Spanish reflection of the soul

To get to know the heart of Basque culture you have to start with Bilbao, a city that represents the balance between modern design, art and the most traditional culture, framed by a series of green hills.

The coasts facing the Cantabrian Sea were the scene that saw the birth of the Sofía Blouse. The eclecticism of this site is reflected in this delicate garment with asymmetrical length and lace at the front.

Punta del Este, luxury and nature

Punta del Este, Uruguay, is a good example of the relationship between art, light-hearted luxury and nature in its purest form. To this we must add impressive sunsets, calm beaches, walks full of glamor and an effervescent nightlife.

The Cira Dress caught between its folds the presence of this southern sea. Feminine and totally ad hoc, it brings to mind large, white terraces looking out to the horizon, the sunrise and seagull-covered beaches.
